The Blue Heron Gift Shop was established in 1976 and has been successfully run by the same owners for over 30 years. The shop started off rather small but has since doubled in size. We also added an Ice Cream Shop and a Laundromat to the building over the years.

Due to the strong Scottish heritage on Cape Breton Island we provide a large selection of different Clan items, ranging from books, to throws, to china, to souvenirs, to clothing. Along with these items we carry a variety of collectibles and gift ideas for any occasion.

Our main specialty is Atlantic Canadian Books and Music. We recognized the wants and needs of people looking for these products and try to meet their expectations in every way. We do our very best to keep the best and most up-to-date selections in our store.
